- In Diploma (Fresh) admission the total seats per each program are calculated as: Total seats = Sanctioned Strength + TFW (5%) + EWS (10%)
- In the Diploma (Lateral) admission, the total seats per each program are calculated as: Total seats = 10% of Sanctioned Strength + UFV
- where UFV : Unfilled Vacancy of previous year for the respective program.
Eligibility for Diploma (Fresh):
For 3 year Diploma (Fresh) Course,
- The candidates must have Passed the HSC Examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSE Odisha) or 10th Standard Examination declared Equivalent by BSE Odisha.
- For first semester diploma courses in engineering except mining and drilling, the minimum age limit is 14 years and No upper age limit will be applicable for any course.
Eligibility for Diploma (Lateral):
- For 2 year Diploma (Lateral) course, the candidate must have Passed in +2 Science Examination conducted by CHSE, Odisha or its equivalent examination with PCM or +2 Vocational (2year course) in any Engineering Trade or 2 years in ITI in Engineering Trade or COE Trade with pass in HSC by BSE Odisha or Equivalent.
- For first semester diploma courses in engineering except mining and drilling, the minimum age limit is 16 years and No upper age limit will be applicable for any course.

As per the directives of government, the seats are reserved for the candidates of Odisha state only and the reservation is as follows:
